The area: Online Sales and Operations

The Online Sales and Operations (OSO) team keeps Google growing and profitable. We are dedicated to supporting the company’s expanding base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. We are responsible for supporting customers and generating revenue from a broad range of products such as AdWords, AdSense, Gmail and Google Earth. This means that OSO team members need to be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible – and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role: AdSense Account Manager

As an AdSense Account Manager, you are responsible for high-level relationship management, focus on determining innovative ways to drive revenue through account optimizations, and communicate publisher feedback to our Product Managers. Past accomplishments of team members have included building the Toothpaste account management tool, creating the Ad Review Center product feature, organizing and executing AdSense Partner Days and working with AdWords to improve the quality of ads on the Content Network.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the experience of the top AdSense Online publishers by developing strong relationships and by providing exceptional customer support.
  • Proactively upsell customers on various Google products, features, and optimizations to hit and exceed aggressive team revenue targets.
  • Actively solicit customer feedback and work with Product Management to communicate customer needs, enhancements, and priorities.
  • Work with Sales teams to promote AdSense to prospective customers.
  • Head-focused product specialist and publisher engagement activities.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record.
  • Excellent phone and in-person sales skills, with a strategic understanding of publisher and advertising industry business models.
  • Business analysis skills and experience with automated tools (including Excel, databases, etc.).
  • Ability to understand Product Management and Marketing mindset.
  • Ability to navigate effectively within the Google organization.
  • Extremely organized and highly motivated.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills including presentations, with the ability to exude executive presence.
